Couples Counseling
Relationships can go through challenging seasons. Communication can become difficult, conflicts may repeat, or partners may begin to feel disconnected, misunderstood, or unheard. Couples therapy provides a safe and supportive space to slow down, understand each other, and work toward a healthier relationship.
In couples therapy, we explore the patterns that shape your relationship, including communication, conflict, trust, emotional connection, boundaries, and expectations. My goal is not to take sides, but to help both partners feel heard and understood while creating space for meaningful conversations and positive change.
Whether you are navigating ongoing conflict, rebuilding trust, adjusting to a major life transition, or simply wanting to strengthen your connection, couples therapy can help you develop healthier ways of communicating and relating to one another.
You don't have to wait until your relationship reaches a breaking point. Therapy can be an opportunity to reconnect, grow together, and build a stronger foundation for your relationship.
Gottman Method at a Glance
The Gottman Method is an evidence-based approach to couples therapy developed by psychologists Drs. John and Julie Gottman. It is designed to help couples strengthen their relationship, improve communication, manage conflict, and build a deeper emotional connection.
The approach focuses on understanding the patterns within a relationship and helping couples develop practical skills to create lasting positive change. Through guided conversations and therapeutic exercises, couples can learn to communicate their needs more effectively, understand each other's perspectives, repair conflict, rebuild trust, and nurture friendship and intimacy.
A central idea of the Gottman Method is that healthy relationships are not defined by the absence of conflict, but by how partners navigate conflict and remain connected through life's challenges.
Gottman Method Couples Therapy can be helpful for couples experiencing communication difficulties, recurring conflict, emotional disconnection, trust concerns, or major life transitions, as well as couples who simply want to strengthen and enrich their relationship.
